We can offer bespoke accredited learning programmes for young people and adults in alternative settings; Home Education, Complementary Education, Custodial and Mental Health provisions and our dogs are keen to share their enthusiasm with others.

In partnership with Betswi Cadwaladr NHS Health Board, Occupational Therapy Team, we delivered a K9 Club programme, within a secure mental health hospital for forensic patients. This project isn’t just ‘dog assisted therapy’ it is much more than that!

A 2024 study by Nottingham Trent University concludes that one off activities with animals especially can be found to increase emotional and physical well-being, read the research below:

Reaction from the pilot programme was outstanding:

“Feedback we had from the patients was exceptionally positive and exceeded even our initial expectations and hopes.”

“One patient in particular joined the sessions very quiet and withdrawn and as the weeks went by we could see he was beginning to start conversations with others – so the sessions had really helped with improving his communication skills.” He commented, “This is the best thing I’ve ever done.”.
